Mercutio act 1 scene 4 (by Melissa)
Oh God!
Here we go again! Romeo, Benvolio and I were trying to crash the Capulet party
so that Romeo could see Rosaline, his “girlfriend” but now Romeo isn’t sure
anymore! For crying out loud Romeo! Make up your mind! It’s a costume party, so
everyone will look like total clowns and no one in the entire world will recognize
us! I thought it would be the perfect way to score me a girlfriend, but with
Romeo whining about Rosaline, I’m not even sure I want to go in! Probably
because he doesn’t want to risk falling in love with someone else. Well Romeo, here’s what I say to you:
If love be rough with
you, be rough with love:
Prick love for pricking,
and you beat love down.
Give me a case to put
my visage in (I put on my mask)
A visor for a visor!
What care I
What curious eye doth
cote deformities?
Here are the beetle
brows shall blush for me.
(Quote taken from page 31, line 27-32)
Romeo
always acts like such a little kid and I hate that so much! Cheer up dude and
go have some fun! There’s a hole mansion filled with cute girls! If that can’t
cheer him up, to be honest, I don’t know what will!
LOL :)
Sean Czako - Act 2 scene 1
Where is romeo? I hope that my call did not deter him from coming home. I was only kidding. Besides Romeo should be grateful that I addressed him with such grace. I mean summoning him by Rosaline’s fine foot, straight leg, and quivering thigh. I think I'm pretty creative. Poor romeo I'm sure he didn't even talk to Rosaline. He's probably sitting under a medlar tree wishing his wife was one of those fruits that look like female genitalia. Poor romeo with no woman to sleep with tonight.
Now will he sit under a medlar tree
And wish his mistress were that kind of fruit
As maids call medlars when they laugh alone.—
O Romeo, that she were! Oh, that she were
An open arse, and thou a poperin pear.
Romeo, good night. I’ll to my truckle bed.
This field-bed is too cold for me to sleep.
Why hasn’t he come back yet. Did he get rejected or something. I feel bad for my bro. If he did get rejected the n there goes a big waste of my time on my part. This whole party was pointless now because he probably didn't even get to see Rosaline. He probably just sat in the corner and watch everything... Wow probably should have looked out for my bro a bit more instead of going off having fun. Definitely not going to end up being the wing man of the year. Anyways there’s plenty of fish in the sea... Unless you’re in the desert in the middle of nowhere with no hope. Next time I’ll be there for my bro.

Where is Romeo? He should be back by this time. Oh and now on top of not knowing where Romeo is we have received a letter at the Montague mansion from Tybalt for Romeo. He will fall in a fight against that Capulet, he is probably one of the greatest fighters I have ever encountered. Tybalt is a perfectionist and to him a battle without his opponent being dead is not the meaning of perfection. Besides that important message Romeo decides to have a battle of the wits, a game where he has an upper hand on me. All of this could've been avoided if he did not give us the slip. Then he goes on to how he had more pressing matters to attend to that night, oh please it is probably about Rosaline.
Without his rose, like a dried herring: O flesh, flesh, how art thou fishified! Now is he for the numbers that Petrarch flowed in. Laura to his lady was a kitchen wench (marry, she had a better love to be rhyme her), Dido a dowdy, Cleopatra a gipsy, Helen and Hero holdings and harlots, Thisbe a grey eye or so, but no to the purpose. Signior Romeo, 'bon jour'! there's a french salutation to your French slop. You gave us the counterfeit fairly last night.
What is even ruder is that this hideous old woman who Romeo called "Nurse" just strolls into my argument of wits thinking she owns us and can tell us what to do. Hopefully, my insult taught her a lesson on how she better not mess with the wrong person especially when they are fighting. As well, I bet that Romeo declined to come to supper at his father's house just to get my gears grinding.
Mercutio- Act 3 Scene 1 (Emma Cohen)
I can't believe what this has become, I am dead all because of this ridiculous feud. I understand when two families dislike each other but once it leads to the death of a family friend then there is clearly something wrong with this. I wonder if my death will help them see how ignorant their fighting is. That would make my death a little better because if it stopped this huge fight it means that I would of died for something important. I know the Prince will have something to say about my death, i mean i am his cousin after all and he did threaten us that the next time we fight in public we will be punished severely. Well I hope Tybalt gets what he deserves and I'm sure he will.
No, ’tis not so deep as a well nor so wide as a church-door, but ’tis enough, ’twill serve. Ask for me tomorrow, and you shall find me a grave man. I am peppered, I warrant, for this world. A plague o' both your houses! Zounds, a dog, a rat, a mouse, a cat to scratch a man to death! A braggart, a rogue, a villain that fights by the book of arithmetic! Why the devil came you between us? I was hurt under your arm. - Act 3 Scene 1 page
I told Benvolio that it he is the man that will fight over everything but I guess in the end it is I that fought for a bad reason and look where i ended up. He was right we should of just left from the beginning, but i was foolish and stubborn. I curse both of those families for what they have done to Verona with their stupid feud. I should've back down like Romeo did but i was too amped up and now i have lost my life for him.
