Act 1 Scene 1
As this continuous hatred between the Montagues and the Capulets continues to grow, I get more and more stressed as the days go by. The two richest families in all of Verona are unable to act in a civil manner when they are confronted with one another. Perhaps my aunt and uncle are unable to come to terms with the situation, however, through these cowardly actions, they are encouraging that this hatred be passed on from generation to generation. I constantly try to keep the peace between the two households, but regardless of the time or place, these fights are inevitable. Shortly after the quick battle, I rushed down to where I had earlier seen Romeo. He was still there and he looked like he had not slept for the last couple of days. He had been depressed over Rosaline and it had taken quite the tole on him. As any great cousin would do, I decided that the best thing to do was trying to convince him that he needed to get his mind off of her and remind him that there are many other fish in the sea. I hate to see Romeo in such a nostalgic stage. I really do hope he will be able to build up the strength to get over Rosaline and find love once again.
By giving liberty unto thine eyes.
Examine other beauties.

Act 3 Scene 1
It was too hot out, I
knew that if we ran into the Capulets we’d certainly get into a fight. I had no
doubt, I even told Mercutio we should just leave but all he could do was make
fun of me. And look at where it got him. Dead. Mercutio was never the type to back down in a fight, all he
was doing was trying to protect Romeo, be a good friend to him and Tybalt took
his life. He never even second-guessed himself about getting into that fight,
he was the stronger the one and yet with one cheap shot Tybalt killed him.
Tybalt deserved to die for what he did to my dear
friend Mercutio! He had it coming, but I do wish that my dear cousin Romeo was
not the one who had to take his life since now he will either a dead man or banished
one. Prince had warned us that if we started another fight these were the
consequences… But Tybalt deserved it, anyone would agree! Although I do not
think the Capulets will see it in that way.
Romeo needed to flee! I could not risk losing someone
else I cared for. So I was the one left to talk to Prince when he showed up
with Lord and Lady Capulet. But of course, Lady Capulet would not believe a
word I was saying! I was telling the truth why would I lie? But it did not
matter what I or Lady Capulet thought; Prince had his mindset. Tybalt killed Prince’s
cousin and Romeo had killed Tybalt. Romeo did not start the fight but he is the
one who will be banished. I have already lost my dear friend; I do not want to
lose my cousin as well.
O noble prince, I can discover all
The unlucky manage of this fatal brawl.
There lies the man, slain by young Romeo,
That slew thy kinsman, brave Mercutio.
